Harry, be safe.
Harry, be nice.
The times are troubled
Feeding on lies.
Lock the doors.
Shut the blinds.
When the night falls
Its safer inside.
Every step that you take may turn against you.
Every code that you break will bring secrets new.
Erase your footprints and obliviate the memories.
Fight through the dark, throwing light on the mysteries.
Harry, be safe.
Harry, be strong.
Before the day rises
It won't be too long.
Silence the cries.
Undo the wrongs.
Drive away the evil
To where it belongs.
We've rejoiced your victories all through the ride.
We've mourned over the rights you were denied.
We still stand by you as darkness befalls
As you put an end to tyranny once and for all.
Harry, be safe.
Harry, be nice.
When they come for you
They'll come for your life.
The battle will commence.
We don't know how or when.
So please Harry, Be Strong, Be Safe
Until then...
[NOTE: The inspiration is obvious. I already miss the series :( ]

Questions
There are times when I see myself
Doing all the Usual Things.
Always hoping for something more
But it's mostly disappointing.
It's like there's a big question mark
perpetually painted on my curious face.
My train of thought, my dreams- all constant
Save for the varying time and place.
Everything needs its time to grow
No point relying on the first impression.
The answers are lying everywhere
We only need to as the right question.
And I find myself wondering
Can I ever break out of this endless circle?
And find a place to breathe?
Break the chain, erase the question mark
And sail away to dreams?
Doing all the Usual Things.
Always hoping for something more
But it's mostly disappointing.
It's like there's a big question mark
perpetually painted on my curious face.
My train of thought, my dreams- all constant
Save for the varying time and place.
Everything needs its time to grow
No point relying on the first impression.
The answers are lying everywhere
We only need to as the right question.
And I find myself wondering
Can I ever break out of this endless circle?
And find a place to breathe?
Break the chain, erase the question mark
And sail away to dreams?

A Little Thing Called Life
You wake up with a sad face, all cold
Your blanket lying comfortably on the floor.
Sure you're young, you're thirty-one
But your mind and heart won't make it too long.
With that lawsuit and alimony to pay, you're lucky you're still alive
And still managed to have a place of your own
After the havoc-wreaking storm had everything out of control.
You walk coyly to the end of the room- it's raining outside,
Put your hand against the window only to find
That the view from up there was bulldozed to nothing
For another skyscraper to be constructed.
Another score for technology while nature is dying
Just like your enthusiasm for life.
Yet funnily you still find a laugh out of
This little thing called life.
Self-deprecating judgment is the only friend you have
And Sarcasm like a life-jacket letting you survive.
You stare at the paper, somehow wishing
That you see your own name in the obituaries.
Why wouldn't you
When even your coffee machine hates you?
But you're a fighter. You'll pull through.
Not that you have a choice, though.
This little thing called life-
Unless it wants, it won't leave you.

View from the Burning Room
The house is in flames and you set it afire
For reasons only for you to know.
Now, the higher the flames rise
the more they feed your ego.
Burn everything down, just let the room live.
So you could watch the world outside
From a safe distance
Untouched by everything
For you only wish to dream.
What made you gaze upon the clouds
When even memories float away?
Like the smoke that came from the fires
That gave it all away.
Fired up, all in flames
Everything's gone
But there's no black box for you to save
All that your life was built on.
Now you hold your banners
To save your soul.
Even Morse Code, but to no avail
No one can help you now
To save you from your burning hell
You built for yourself.
For reasons only for you to know.
Now, the higher the flames rise
the more they feed your ego.
Burn everything down, just let the room live.
So you could watch the world outside
From a safe distance
Untouched by everything
For you only wish to dream.

All that your life was built on.

To save your soul.

To save you from your burning hell
You built for yourself.
Somewhere Else
So we find ourselves giving in
To another stone we turn into a belief.
In search of that truth we want to hear
Relying on things more than we need.
If walls had ears, would you speak to them?
Let go of your angst and your soul
In search of a voice so long been unknown?
It's time you took a stand
And directed your faith somewhere else
That''ll bring you closer to yourself.
I'll need a hand to help me through
To save me from my fall.
A hand on my shoulder to pat on my back
Not the one to push me through the wall.
It's time I took a stand
And directed my faith somewhere else
For our prayers to be heard and wishes fulfilled
We need to face ourselves.
To another stone we turn into a belief.
In search of that truth we want to hear
Relying on things more than we need.
If walls had ears, would you speak to them?
Let go of your angst and your soul
In search of a voice so long been unknown?
