I keep building fearfully
As I ascend each level

And destroy my haven.

That's so good. Reminds me of a piece of my own ("The World of Shards", and no I'm not expecting you to remember it, I'm just taking the opportunity to hype).
Sorry it took me so long to comment on this, but I don't have a blog anymore anyway for that matter... Hoping that someday soon you'll post something new for me and all those other fans of you around the globe to read.

Oh my, you were right. I can totally see the resemblance between this and my Castle of Paper & House of Cards. Funny how Fragile Rose also was reminded of her own piece. It's gotta be something about the deck of cards :D
